I Just Bought a Forklift – Now What?

You’ve done your research, asked all the questions, kicked the tires and you’re ready to buy a forklift from Atlantic Forklift Services.

Atlantic Forklift Services will be with you every step of the way. That’s just what we do. We’re not going just drop off the forklift and never see you again. Earning your business is a privilege that we do not take lightly.

We’ll support you at every stage, from training operators to routine maintenance, parts and billing, and everything in between.

We have new forklifts that you can “drive” right out of our warehouse, but if you have to order one, we do everything we can to make your delivery time as short as possible.

Of course, it depends on the specifics of the order, but delivery time can range anywhere from 2-14 weeks. Doosan has simplified the process by building a distribution center in Georgia, which drastically reduces lead times.

Maybe your budget doesn’t allow for a new unit. The good news here is we don’t just offer shiny new forklifts, we have used trucks that range from gently-used to battered-but-still-very-functional.

Be aware, if you are planning to purchase a used forklift, that there is a risk involved.  Ask a lot of questions, pay attention to the amount of hours on the unit, examine it closely and factor in the overall cost of ownership versus a new lift.  Some used forklifts may not be worth the expense if they have a lot of wear and tear.
