It goes without saying that the internet has changed nearly every aspect of the way companies do business. From commerce, information and communication there is nearly no aspect of your business that hasn’t been affected by technology.
Function of your facility can be monitored remotely via the internet, and you can receive notifications, status reports and even troubleshoot and change settings when necessary.
But wait, there’s more. There’s an entire section of the internet that you may be writing off as a waste of time, but that can be a useful tool if used correctly.
Social media is a combination of everything that is great about the internet, and all the worst parts, too. But like anything, you can get out of it whatever you want. You can use it to get information about things like forklifts, and tips and tricks to get the best performance (always consult with AFS, though, before you make any modifications that could damage your unit, or void your warranty).
As a marketing tool, social media is virtually unmatched in its ability to reach people. Twitter is a fantastic platform to get your message to potential clients and even your own employees, and to spread the word about what you do.
By posting offers and deals, customers and clients can keep track of what you are offering. Use social media to announce new products and services, like financing.
Consider, also, offering regular updates about your teams or individual staff members who have gone above and beyond the call of duty. It lets the general public know your people are special and does wonders for staff morale.
Also, don’t be afraid to sing your own praises on social media. Posting photos from charity events and certainly when you have made your clients exceedingly happy can make anyone who follows you aware that you and your people are special.
Videos and pictures tell the story of your company, for all to see- and best of all, you don’t have to spend a lot of money to make an impact in the social media realm.
